p1040364.JPGI was back for my 1st in-camp training (ICT) since 28 Jan. Everything still seems so familiar and recent. The feeling was kind of weird as I entered into the camp……

It is weird that many of my peers are still around serving in the force, even some of COs and S3s  around now are used to be like my contemporaries whom I have worked with at different capacities. It is good to see them taking on the senior leaderships positions.

It is kind of weird that my juniors still kind of look out to me for certain knowledge and experience while they are conducting lessons for my Bty. And I can actually remember and recall many of the concepts and principles of my military experiences.

It is kind of weird that the e-mart operators, mess and canteen operators still remember me and ask me where have I posted to and was suprised when I show them my “NS Pass”.

It is kind of weird when one active personel commented that the way I wear my uniform looks more like a regular rather than a NSman.

It is kind of weird…..that after I have left the force for one year and five months that I still feel much for this organisation and have much memories on the 10 years that I have spent in it. I have never regreted giving my 10 years to ADA in RSAF, though it is kind of sad that I could not stay on till my retirement because of a different passion and calling for my life at this juncture of my life. This is where the Lord has built, trained and equipped me to be who I am today.

I am thankful for many of the mentors who have came into my life in this 10 years, mentoring and coaching me in ways to be an officer and a gentlemen. Thanks You Sirs and Enciks for playing a significant part in my life in these 10 years.
